Director's Note
When growing up, most of the children in elementary school with
me came from 'traditional' families, that is, they came from two
parent homes in which one parent stayed at home and the other
parent worked.
Now we have children who come from families in which both parents
working, in fact this situation seems to be the 'traditional'
family these days. In addition, there was strong community support.
By contrast, family ties today are far less maintained. Elementary
students today lack the community support required to deal with
academics, extracurricular activities and social challenges.
For this reason, Boys & Girls Clubs are necessary in providing
youth with a positive and safe place to go; a way to grow in a
safe and caring environment.

and community needs.
We will accomplish this goal by providing fun and innovative
programs that utilize our youth development strategy. The key
to our success lies in the continued support from the community.
